    Mariclem Malazarte Lim
    DDS
    Dentist

    Raised within a family of healthcare professionals, Dr. Mariclem was inspired early on towards helping people. Her upbringing was instilled with the values of kindness, care, and service. Among her inspirations was her grandfather, a figure of compassion whose dedication to helping others deeply influenced her.

    Dr. Mariclem's academic journey mirrors her dedication to service. She completed her Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2003 from one of the top universities in her home country the Phillipines, and to further complement her skillset she acquired a Nursing Degree in 2006. She joined the BC College of Dental Surgeons in 2019 and is currently pursuing a Masters in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Edinburgh. Dr. Mariclem's commitment to ongoing education is further demonstrated by her active involvement in several study clubs across North America.

    In her practice, Dr. Mariclem's approach is guided by a patient-first philosophy. She treats each patient with the same care and consideration she would extend to her own family, believing that everyone deserves her full dedication. Persistent and solution-oriented, Dr. Mariclem is committed to addressing and overcoming any dental health challenge her patients may face.

    Ken W. Brown

    Born and raised on Vancouver's Westside, Dr. Ken Brown is a local who takes great pride in calling this vibrant city his home. With a degree in Biochemistry and a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of British Columbia, Dr. Brown has deep roots in the local community and its healthcare industry.

    Featuring a remarkable 45-year career in dentistry, Dr. Brown's professional journey is as diverse as his personal interests. His commitment to continuing education and extensive experience have made him a 'Swiss army knife' of dentistry, capable of delivering comprehensive care in a multitude of dental areas. He caters to patients of all ages, adeptly handling complex dental conditions in both surgical and aesthetic fields.

    Dr. Brown's passion extends beyond dentistry. An outdoor enthusiast, he has shifted his early hobbies of biking, skiing, hiking, and rock climbing towards ocean-based activities such as boating, paddle boarding, and enjoying his cottage on Gabriola Island. Dr. Brown's spirit of adventure has also led him to explore 59 countries, yet he always reserves the window seat on his return flights to enjoy the sight of Vancouver from above.

    Above all, Dr. Brown loves his profession and looks forward to coming to work every day. He cherishes seeing his extended family of patients, sharing their journeys, and playing an integral role in their dental health.

    Mike Racich

    Dentist

    Having graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1982, Dr. Mike Racich carries over 40 years of experience in General Dentistry, with a strong emphasis on comprehensive oral care, such as Prosthodontics, Periodontal and Implant Surgery, and Orofacial Pain/TMD.

    Dr. Racich is a member of many Dental Organizations including the Pacific Coast Society of Prosthodontics and the Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics. He is a Fellow of theAmerican College of Dentists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

    Dr. Racich has published articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals such as the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and the Canadian Dental Journal, and he has authored four books: The Basic Rules of Oral Rehabilitation (2010), The Basic Rules of Occlusion (2012), The Basic Rules of Facially Generated Treatment Planning (2013) and The Basic Rules of Being A Dental patient (2016). He has lectured nationally and internationally on subjects relating to patient comfort, function and appearance, and currently mentors the didactic/clinical FOCUS (Fundamentals Of Creating a Uniform Stomatognathic System) Dental Education Continuum (study clubs, mentoring/coaching, second opinions only).
